Just Write ~ Tired

Some days I am just plain tired. No real reason, just tired. I like to believe that it has nothing to do with the fact that I have not had a single night of uninterrupted sleep in over 5 years. I figure my body should be accustomed to it by now. But I wake up in the morning, and if I don't have some sort of early morning plan I lay on the couch, while the children play around me, most of the time drifting back off to sleep with the sounds of cartoons and playing bubbles and beyblades swirl around me, but certainly don't keep me from sleeping. I awaken to the the sounds of arguing or screeching, and feel guilty that I am not more involved in whats going on. They are only 3 and 5. And it's summertime now. And jonah will be going off to full dat kindergarten in the fall. I should be soaking all this kid-time in you know....but instead, I am feeling lazy.

I think it is also just easier to sleep when you have a lot on your mind. It's like the worry and troubles just drift away. And if you are lucky, you'll have a warm and fuzzy dream to pass the time. But  here's the thing, those worries and troubles are still there when you wake up. And for me, lately, I have been having really strange dreams. I'd much rather stay awake than encounter these strange dreams.

Linking up to Just Write ~ a writing exercise of epic proportions.

I am so tired, too. It's all so exhausting.

I know that feeling all to well.
Sometimes you just need a good solid nap to recharge and that is so hard when you're a parent

Sounds like you have some things to work through! Broken sleep doesn't help(I feel you...haven't slept through the night in about 19 years!)
