Energizer Power Seal Batteries & Crayola Battery Powered Products

As a Blogger I get the chance to attend some pretty cool events. And up until recently, even the kid-friendly events I generally attended kid-less. Most of our events are in Chicago, making it an hour drive one way, that being one main reason why I leave the kids at home. But when I got the invite to attend an event sponsored by Energizer and Crayola at a fun and hip little place called Family Grounds Cafe, I thought it was the perfect time to bring them along.

Now I don't know about you, but I have allowed myself to try and save a little money and buy the generic batteries before. But after trying to use them in my iMac mouse and keyboard (and them being brand-new out of the package), they still don't hold enough power to work them. The same holds true for many of my kids handheld video games.....they simply don't work. A brand like Energizer Max, with it's Power Seal Technology gives their batteries a 10 YEAR shelf life. I am pretty sure I will never have batteries sitting around that long, but if I do, I know I can trust that they will still be ready to go when I need them.

We got a chance to check out some of the awesome battery-powered Crayola products, like the Crayola Glow Dome and the Crayola Light-Up Tracing Pad.

We heard a little bit about the new Power Seal Energizer Batteries and got a chance to play with awesome toys, in a really fun and laid back atmosphere. When we left, we were given a few thoughtful parting gifts (Crayola Color Wonder packs for the kids, and the new Energizer Flameless Wax Candle for me) and we were left to add a few more cool Crayola products on to the kids Christmas Wish Lists.

Speaking of Wish Lists, check back next week for the Mommy Instincts Holiday Gift Guide to continue, where I will talk about "Gifts for Her", you won't want to miss it! ;-)

I was invited by Mom Central to attend this event. We were given a travel stipend as well as a light dinner and the gifts mentioned above. Regardless of products or services provided, as always, you will receive an honest review here on Mommy Instincts.

The Crayola stuff sounds like stocking stuffers! We love their little bitty kid markers that only draw on paper....A lot!
