Huggies Slip-On Diapers Review & GIVEAWAY PRIZE PACK (1 pack of diapers & a $25 gift card)

One of my favorite parts of a baby shower is when everyone brings you a pack of diapers and/or wipes, just as an extra "bonus" gift. The guest doesn't usually wrap them, and they just get piled up, giving the new Dad-to-Be some additional stuff to carry out to the car at the close of the party. BUT, why I love it so much is because it gives the new Mom the opportunity to try out different brands and styles of diapers and wipes on her new baby, without forcing her to go out and spend money on the trial-and-error that is diapering her child.

All babies are different, and so are diapers, so what may work on MY baby, may or may not work on YOUR baby. Features that I am looking for on a diaper may be different than what YOU are looking for. And at the end of the day, it is awesome that we have so many diapers available to use on our babies.

Truthfully, I would say, 95% of the diapers that have been on my babies bottoms have been Huggies. They just always "worked" for us. They rarely leaked. The never caused rashes. The materials were soft and smooth on the babies skin. They just "worked", and that's all that matters. Needless to say, I was pretty excited when Huggies asked if I wanted to partner with them.

I started off Lily in the Huggies Pure & Natural Diapers when she was a newborn. I loved how soft they were, inside and out. When Lily moved up to size 6 diapers (which most babies never grow into, but Lily is a BIG girl), I had to move her over to the Little Movers. I was okay with that since she is older now and I am not so concerned about her overly sensitive newborn baby skin anymore. But I will be honest, this is my only complaint with Huggies; wishing they made more of their diapers up to a Size 6. If they did, Lily would most certainly still be wearing the Pure & Natural's still.

Huggies just came out with their new Slip-On Diapers and I can't tell you how excited I was for this! Lily is 2.5 years old and has been walking since she was 9 months old. She isn't one to want to lay down and get dressed or get her diaper changed, so these diapers would have been PERFECT. Unfortunately, Huggies only makes them up to a Size 5 (*sigh*), so we aren't able to personally try them out. But this doesn't mean your little mover and shaker can't try them out! Keep reading, and you might be able to, for FREE!

What I really like about the Slip-On Diapers is that even though they "look" like a "Pull-Up" used for a potty training toddler, they aren't. The biggest difference is the absorbency. I can certainly attest how little a Pull-Up holds. In the past, I have tried using just Pull-Up's on Lily because she is so active and always fights diaper changes, but with how much she drinks, and in turn how fast she wets a diaper, they always leaked! Made sense though, that isn't the true purpose of a Pull-Up. But this IS the purpose of the Slip-On Diapers! (Darn you Huggies, why don't you make them in a Size 6??? ;-) ) They even have tabs for easy removal, you know...in those times you HAVE to change a squirmy kid, while laying down. I really love the cute commercials Huggies has out now, highlighting their Slip-On Diapers.

Have YOU tried the new Huggies Slip-On Diapers? What do you think of them? And if you have been wanting to try them out,  but haven't what's stopping you?

And to my local mama's. Jewel-Osco in Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland carries them, so they are easy to find locally as well!

I've actually been pretty interested in these new diapers lately as my 18 month old has started becoming VERY squirmy during diaper changes and always just wants to do anything BUT lie down to get changed. We currently use all sorts of different diapers in this house as I have a 3 year old in pull ups, and my 18 months old and 6 month old are both in their own seperate sizes and types of diapers. Between the three of them we have used Pampers, Huggies and also Targets brand Up&Up. Sometimes certain diapers seem to work better at certain stages so we are always switching things up!
