I don't nearly get enough time to spend with my friends. We all have little one's that require a lot of our daily attention, so getting out of the house (alone!) is REALLY hard. So when given the opportunity to hang out with two of my very best girlfriends in the entire world, the 3 of us jumped on it!
The Motherhood and Wendy's have teamed up to send a bunch of bloggers all over the country out to lunch to try Wendy's new Pick 2 Menu deal. They graciously invited me, as well as two friends of my choice, to head up to the city to meet up with some fellow bloggers for a huge lunch date. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it to the lunch all the other ladies got to attend, so myself and my 2 friends had an intimate lunch date on Saturday afternoon. OF course, it would have been great to see all the area ladies, but this was nice too.
We stood there for what seemed like a million years deciding what combination of the Pick 2 Menu we would get, so many things to choose from (28 combinations)!
I ended up going with the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad, pairs with a Coke. I also got an order of fries on the side. I actually find it odd that they DON'T offer fries as one of the choices with the deal. I mean "Hello?!", they are FRENCH FRIES. I can only assume it is a health issue, and they are trying to push healthier options, but then why would they offer a Frosty over an order of fries?
The Salads you can choose from are:
1. Apple Pecan Chicken Salad
2. BLT Cobb
3. Baja
4. Spicy Chicken Ceasar
the options to pair one of those salad's up with are:
1. Sour Cream and Chives Baked Potato
2. Small Chili
3. Small Frosty
4. Jr Bacon Cheeseburger
5. Small Drink
6. Bottled Water
7. Chicken Go Wrap
We all ordered something different, and it seemed as though everyone liked what they ordered. Sheena mentioned (and I kind of agree), I'd like MORE chicken on my salad. Or maybe at least cut the 4 pieces of chicken up into smaller pieces? Give the illusion of more chicken?
I've always liked Wendy's. Their burger's always seems "better" than the competitions. Plus, a square burger is just plain cool, right?
And what would me babbling on about a company be without giving you a piece of the action?
