Kellogg's Eggo Real Fruit Pizza's Review and MULTI-WINNER Giveaway!

WINNERS ARE:

Congrats ladies! I will be forwarding your info on to the appropriate people so you can get your hands on your very own Eggo Real Fruit Pizza's!

Routine is kinda my thing. I am a fan of the repetitiveness of daily life. Routine keeps me motivated and energized.  I have found my son has fallen closely in line with my way of life, being the creature of habit that he is. He works well knowing what to expect next, so that is the school of thought we use when planning our days. A change from that norm can really throw off his internal clock, so I try to stick to a schedule whenever possible.

On the 2 days a week that I work (outside of the house), our mornings can be quite chaotic. Between getting 2 toddlers ready, and out the door by 8am, not to mention ready myself for a day of work, picking up from breakfast, packing a bag full of all the daily needs of the kids, and not forgetting anything or anyone along the way is a bit stressful. It has taken some trial and error and a long bit of practice to finally come up with a way to streamline my mornings.

I have found a clearly stated and visible "DAILY ROUTINE" is key for our family. This satisfies the need of a predictable schedule that can keep Jonah's busy mind at ease, without the fear of sudden changes that may make him a little anxious.  Even though he can't read, he knows that "The Schedule" is the boss, and what "The Schedule" says goes. I find this is helpful when he gets frustrated that he has to do something he doesn't want to. There is no fighting "The Schedule", and he knows that. "The Schedule" also keeps ME on task and does not allow for any of my time to be wasted by meandering on the internet or lazily collapsing on the couch for just a few more moments of rest. Lily on the other hand is so go-with-the-flow, she'll do just about anything.

Our "Daily Routine" is split into 3 parts. The imperative parts of the day (wake up, breakfast, bath time, bed time) are the same every day. But the days we will be doing "school", that leaves a little less time for play. And on our free days, we can take more time to do more exciting adventures and plan day trips and outings. The most boring days are the days I work, doesn't leave much time for play OR school, just those essential moments of maintenance for the day.

Since my mornings can be extremely rushed at times, I am always on the lookout for something that will help make it go a little a little quicker and more smoothly.

I was recently contacted by Kellogg's and The Motherhood to review the new Eggo Real Fruit Pizza's by fitting them in to my morning routine. I was delighted, since my kids LOVE fruit, I was sure these would be a hit.

The pizza's were perfectly sized to share between my two kiddo's after cutting into quarters.  The kids were a little skeptical at first, but once they figured out what they were, they seemed to enjoy a few bites of each flavor we received (the Mixed Berry Granola and the Strawberry Granola).  Lily seemed to like it a little more, but Jonah is kinda picky, and is at one of those ages where it's tough to get him to try new things.

The Eggo Real Fruit Pizza's were a cinch to make, by simply popping them in the microwave for 60 seconds. They come out warm and smelling delicious. The maple flavored crust is a chewy and soft and the fruit is covered with granola.  I do suggest checking the pizza for done-ness after the initial 60 seconds of cook time. I had to heat it a little longer, but all microwaves are different, so mine might just take a little longer.

PRO'S:
~The Eggo Real Fruit Pizza is a time-saver taking only a few minutes to go from freezer to the table
~The REAL Fruit is a nice plus, instead of artificial fruits being used
~The portion is a nice size for our family of 2 toddlers
~Come in flavors my kids like

CON'S
~I wish the crust was "crispier", would be a little easier to eat while running around. I assume though if I were to have made it in the oven, the crust would have been crispier, but it would have defeated the purpose of it being quick and easy
~Packaging wise, I wish the main ingredients were more clearly posted on the box. Obviously, the fruit is listed, but I think it would be a smart idea to add something about the "maple flavored crust", as well as whatever the "sauce" is made of

I definitely need routine when I'm working outside the house. I wake up at 5:45AM, I get myself ready before I even get the boys up. Having all of our bags ready to go the night before also makes everything a million times easier.

I ALWAYS make my coffee the night before and set the timer. Also, I try to get son's breakfast packed so all we have to do is grab and go!

I’m always sure to have the kids pick out their clothes the night before and they are laid out to jump into as soon as their head is up from their pillow. This keeps the morning going smoothly.
