De-Cluttering

Today, Todd and I went to a seminar our church was having. It was called "Become". It was really informative and educational and in a way, comforting. It gave me a sense of getting one step closer to God. It also helped me understand how to get closer and closer to Him every day. Kevin also went over "how to pray", for those of us (like me) that are still kind of new at this, and maybe ever for those that never really learned for to pray, or were in need of a refresher course on it.

He also hit on "giving things away". Now, I don't really want to get into it too much right now. It's late and I want to go to bed, but I just want to say that as Kevin talked about all of that, I started to think how much of my time I waste on the computer. Now, I am by no means ready to give it up completely, but I did take a few steps closer to limiting my time on it. I deleted my MySpace account, my Hotmail account, and my Facebook account. Now to some of you, this may not seem significant, but by getting rid of those 3 things, I already feel more empowered. I know that I will not be wasting any more time looking into indie bands, or looking at all the stupid applications on facebook. It's great. Now I can focus on just my blogging, paying bills (boo!), and working with Mama Speaks.

I already feel a bit un-cluttered. Now just to give away everything in our basement....
