Build-a-Bear for the Holidays

In the last few months, Jonah has become very attached to a variety of stuffed animals. Not really an one specific stuffed animal, but it is imperative that he has a "friend" with him whenever we leave the house or he is going to sleep. I think it is pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. So when Build-a-Bear Workshop gave us the opportunity to check out their new holiday collections, I was really excited to take Jonah in to make a new "friend".

It being the holiday's and all, and with the kids being more and more observant every year, we decided to go with the pair, Rudolph and Clarice for the kids to make. It also gave us the chance to stop and pick up the Rudolph DVD (which the kids love and watch DAILY) and start introducing them to some Christmas traditions that Todd and I both grew up with.

WE love making new friends at Build-a-Bear because it's such a joy to see how much fun it is for the kids. They love the whole process from filling their friends, to kissing the heart, to giving them a bath and so on.  Lily even loved carrying Clarice around the whole mall!

And now, Jonah has a bit of a preference when it comes to which friend he wants to sleep with.

And.....so does Lily.

WIN IT!

Build-a-Bear Workshop is giving away a $25 gift card to one Mommy Instincts Reader! Since I was a little late getting this post up, the winner probably won't be getting it before the holidays, but think of it as a fun little surprise for after all the hustle and bustle. It'd be a nice activity to do with the kids, especially if a Build-aBear was on their list, but they didn't get one.

1. This one is mandatory ;-)! Go to the Build-a-Bear Workshop  site and come back here and tell me what your favorite Christmas friend is. Is it Frosty? Is it Rudolph? Is it the Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster?

2. Follow me on Twitter. (Be sure to leave a comment telling me you do so.)

3. Follow @BuildaBear on Twitter. (Be sure to leave a comment telling me you do so.)

4. Tweet about Build-a-Bear Workshop and this giveaway. You can do this once a day! I'll even make it easy for you, just copy and paste this! (you must use the @buildabear twitter name, the @mommyinstincts twitter name and link a link to this giveaway). Just make sure you come back here, leaving a comment telling me you tweeted!

"Who doesn't love a new friend? @BuildaBear & @MommyInstincts are giving away a $25 gift card to Build-a-Bear Workshop. http://bit.ly/gYlBWH "

The kids also love to make "friends" to give as gifts. Last Christmas, my kids made Build-a-Bears for Todd's mom and the great-grandmas.

I have yet to take my son to build-a-bear. And I would love to since his birthday is coming up, to get the birthday puppy.
