Blog Action Day 2008 : Poverty

For awhile now, I have been an advocate for the impoverished of Africa. I have spent a lot of time researching and reading and getting my facts straight in regards to the Product(RED) Campaign imparticular. But today isn't just about Africa, it's not just about Product(RED), it's not even about me or you. Today is about poverty, in general...here at home and across the world.

Today is Blog Action Day, a day where our combined voices are to be heard and in turn make as many people aware about this year's campaign, that of poverty. There are currently 9,394 bloggers uniting together to spread the word about poverty, with an audience of over 10.6 million readers. YOU are one of those 10.6 million, doesn't that make you feel amazing. Doesn't it make you feel like, just by reading this, you are ALREADY making a difference? That's the thing, it doesn't cost any money and barely any of your time, all it takes is your attention and your compassion on the topic of poverty to make a difference.

Check out this video. Check out their site. Follow them on twitter (@blogactionday).
