G-O-D

A few months back I met an amazing person, Steph. I'm pretty convinced that the ENTIRE blogging world knows who she is. She writes this awesome blog (I've mentioned it about a million times before), Adventures in Babywearing. Now, on the same day I met Steph, I also met Arianne. It's such a small world because not too long into hanging out at the park with the girls, we discovered that Arianne and I live on the same street, about 5 houses apart. And, to make it even funnier, her newest little one and my baby boy, both have the same names, Jonah (to forever be deemed as my Jonah being "Big Jonah" and Arianne's Jonah being "Little Jonah" ~ They are only about 2 months apart in age, mine is the elder). Anyways, we hung out for awhile, and a couple times, I met Carrington (Arianne's sister) as well. Then, Steph and I started attending Countryside with Arianne and Carrington, and have been going ever since.

All right. Ya'll caught up???

Countryside is amazing. And not too long after we were all going to church together, Arianne and Jacob became Small Group Leaders and asked us all to be a part of the new group. So that's how we all (all 8 of us) now meet on a weekly basis for group, as well as Sunday's for church, and any other day we can squeeze in during the week in order to just hang out.

I can't express in words what all of this has meant to me. I have been in this whirl-wind ever since this all began. You see, in high school I had my small group of friends. And as years went on, I made friends at work. But nothing ever moved me or touched me the way this group of people does. We can talk about ANYTHING. And I am constantly being challenged to think "outside the box" which is a wonderful thing. This is something Todd and I can do together (we never did anything with any other couples!). All 8 of us grow together, and Todd and I have grown even closer. These people are showing me the path to God.

And at the same time, I am more confused than ever, but that's okay! It's not meant to be easy. It's not like once I let God into my heart, I was given the direct line to His private cell phone. It's not like the skies parted, and He talked to me. It's not like all of the answers to life's burning questions were released. It's not like I can find all the Books in the Bible in a snap. It's not like I am instantly saved!
This is going to take a lot of work. And the only person that can do that work, is me. I am the only one able to surrender it all and place it is God's hands. My life is changing every second of every minute. I am overwhelmed with the love I have received from the group, as well as from God. I never knew that people (outside of family) could care so much, for someone they have known for only a short amount of time. I didn't know people could be so good. I didn't know God could be so good.

I'm glad I do now.

I'm so happy that God is using all of us to work in eachother's lives and bring us closer to Him. This was a beautiful post, and I am excited to continue this journey with you!
